Alan Edwards has worked in the construction industry all his life since starting work at 16 years old for a local building contractor in Hampshire and Project deliverance, England.

His career progressed to working for a larger building and civil engineering contractor (as part of the ABF Group) throughout the UK and then to the Middle East on a large hotel construction project in the UAE.

He then started working for project and construction management consultants managing major hotel projects on behalf of corporate clients in the Caribbean, the Hotel Corporation of the Bahamas.

Upon return to the UK, he worked for large property development blue chip clients such as P&O Developments, and Prudential on office developments in London and the Home counties. Alan was involved in the extremely successful Chelsea Harbour mixed-used development between 1986 and 1990.

Alan progressed to working directly for infrastructure clients such as Crossrail, Railtrack/Network Rail, and Docklands Light Railway (Where he was seconded by Arup Project Management for the Stratford International Extension project) directly on major rail projects in the UK and Internationally.

From extensive experience of managing residential, commercial, as well as railway infrastructure projects, Alan knows the design and construction process intimately, and he has countered many claims from contractors on occasion.

Alan set up Alpus Group in Slovenia in 2015 to give the benefit of his experience to property investors and sponsors of projects in the UK, the European Union and Europe outside the EU, the Middle East and South Africa.
